The best Emmy intro segment ever

Tonight’s Emmys intro segment with Jimmy Fallon was epic, especially when all of the stars came out live. That being said, it didn’t top the segment from several years ago when Conan O’Brien hosted for the second time. I think my favorite part was the LOST shout out (of course), but only because LOST wasn’t nominated that year, and they seemed to have a good sense of humor about it.

Here it is. Enjoy!

Whoops!

Hey subscribers, I owe you all an apology.  As you may or may not know, I use both WordPress and Posterous for my blog.  Until yesterday, I was posting to WordPress, and it would automatically post the same thing to Posterous.

Yesterday, I decided to start posting on Posterous, and have that post to WordPress.  In other words, the reverse of how I was doing it.  The only problem is that I forgot to turn off the WordPress autoposting to Posterous, so what happened with my last post is that they kept posting the same post to each other.  Over 40 times.

Sorry for filling up your RSS feed with a duplicate post, It (probably) won’t happen again 🙂

The restroom hygiene conundrum

Hey germaphobes, I need your input on something when it comes to using the restroom.

Here is a typical flow (no pun intended) of activities:

1.  Use the restroom, making your hands, um, “germy”

2.  Turn on sink, making sink handle germy

3.  Wash hands, making hands nice and clean

4.  Turn off sink, making hands germy from germy sink handle

5.  Dry hands

See, your hands are germy again.  I am no germaphobe, so for you germaphobes out there, does this kind of stuff keep you up at night?

**UPDATE**: as @theOJG pointed out on Twitter, there is a video that answers the question.  Enjoy:

What do you think?

Where I have been taking lunch recently

I work very close to the Chatahoochee River in the Atlanta area, and recently I have been on this kick to find a nice place by the river to go and spend my lunch break.  You know, a place to just get away for a little while.

Well, I found a great place.  There is a Catholic church in Roswell (ATL suburb) that has a beautiful area in back of it that is right along the river.  The area is used as a place to go reflect and just have some quiet time, and it is beautiful.  So, that is where I have gone for lunch the last 2 days, and I plan on going back as often as I can.

Here are some pics and a video:
