If you know anything about shooting video, you know that most video is shot at either 24 or 30 frames per second. What if you were to slow that down to 2564 frames per second? The result is an amazing series of clips where you notice a lot of things that typically happen to fast to detect in regular video. It is INCREDIBLE. Watch:(via Mashable)
Anne Marie Wells, a
Facebook friend of mine is doing something pretty awesome. She is hiking across the country to support something called V-Day. V-Day, you ask? Here is what they do:
V-Day is a global activist movement to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop violence against women and girls, including rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation (FGM) and sex slavery.
What Anne Marie is doing is hiking from South Florida all the way up to Maine, all to raise awareness for the V-Day organization. It seems like a pretty awesome thing to be giving so much of her time. If you are looking for a great organization to support, make sure you check out her website.
