This past Saturday, I was honored to have been able to provide some music for a friend that got married. THe wedding, originally scheduled to be held on the Gulf Coast but moved due to the oil spill, took place in Mountain Park GA. It rained up until about 30 minutes before it started, and then it poured immediatly following the ceremony. Great timing!
Anyways, here is a video of one of the songs I did, as well as some pictures of the event.
Tuesday night, Melanie and I were sitting around watching America’s Got Talent. Prince Poppycock was about to take the stage and bedazzle all of us. It was about 10:30 pm, and during the commercial break, Melanie saw this tweet:
We looked at each other, smiled, and scrambled to put our shoes on so we could get to Eddie’s Attic. We got there, parked, got in line, and waited for them to start to let people in. It turns out that there was only room inside the place for 175 people. Melanie and I were 174 and 175 to get in. Everyone else had to listen from outside in the parking lot.
The show was incredible. John was joined on stage by David Ryan Harris on guitar (and some vocals), Bob Reynolds on sax, and Sean Hurley on bass (not sure of the keyboard player’s name). They were all sitting on stools, and for about an hour and a half, they played songs and talked, all the while giving a very cozy, intimate performance.
Here are some pictures of the event, followed by some videos of some of the songs. Awesome show!
