BigRigg Challenge : week 10 weigh-in

Media_httpwwwadamrigg_faykv

I accidentally skipped last week’s weigh-in.  But, that might have been a good thing because my birthday was right in the middle of last week, and it seems like every night I was going out to dinner, and it was ugly.  That being said, this past week has been a recovery from last week’s eating, so I guess I can’t be THAT disappointed at the results:

Stats:

  • Initial Weight: 241.4 lbs
  • Weight after this week’s weigh-in: 251.2 lbs
  • This week’s +/- :  +.6 lbs
  • Total lost:  GAINED 10.8 lbs

Origins of Popular Brand Names

Have you ever been playing with your awesome new Lego set and wondered, “Gee, where did they come up with the name Lego…”?  No?  Well, let’s just pretend for a second that you have asked yourself that.

Women’s Day, my favorite website to frequent, has put together a nice article of several companies and how they came up with their company names.  As for Lego…:

Created in 1934 from the Danish phrase “leg godt,” which means “play well,” the name LEGO was later found to mean “I put together” in Latin—the perfect description for this beloved children’s toy company.

So there you have it.  Also mentioned are Ebay, Banana Republic, and many others.

Here are a lot more of them.

It’s something you should be using, that’s what.  Actually, see over there in the sidebar where it says “Subscribe”?  That is how you take advantage of RSS.  In short, it’s a way to keep track of your favorite blogs and other websites without having to manually go to each one all the time to see if it has been updated.
